The whole place was tensed as serious prayer was going on and the Pastor said 'let there be perfect silence in the presence of God and just like when Jesus commanded the storm,there was absolute silence in the church until we heard....
'Common stop that nonsense and remove that charger from there...'
This broke the whole silence in the church and we didn't have to bother who the agent of the distraction was as everyone already can tell even by the voice. It was the Chief usher, the enemy of everybody, the 'seizer' of chargers...
I wasn't exaggerating when I said everyone hates this chief usher,No! We really do. Let me tell you why. The village I am has been in total darkness for a little over 5 years,thanks to an heavy storm that destroyed almost every electricity poles in the whole village, so this bad event has turned both adults and teens to great trackers as we are all good at tracking anywhere the sound of a generator emanates from( trust me,even if your house is underground, we'll find you especially we, the corpers.)
This electricity issues has affected so many lives that we've culled a slogan amongst ourselves(corpers),' if you forget your Bible,never forget your Charger'. That's how much we're suffering here and church is one of our saving grace where you can
charge without being insulted or harassed, but the only problem we do face in that church is not the Pastor, not the choir, not the Deacons but that of the Chief usher.
This has really made everyone in the church to detest the chief usher (well,maybe not everyone, but everyone with a charger) as he's always against charging in the church. Every Sunday we are always praying that this man should not come to church but sorry,he's always coming.
Now this is my point, everyone hates this chief usher, some among the corpers choose not to greet him anymore, many youths in the church mock him even adults occasionally pick fight with him and Pastor had to intervene most times while service is on going,the belief is the man is Worse but still ,he is alive.
That's the sort of relationship we(human) have with God. You,a killer,an abortionist, drunk,prostitute,liar,wicked,evil, backbiter, corrupt . Yes, we that are sinners and very worse as we are constantly going against God's command but Still,He choose to sacrifice his Son just to prove to us how much He Love us.
No matter how terrible or worse your past sins are, check, old things has passed away,they've become new,do you know why,because our God is so faithful and always willing to forgive all sins no matter how much, just for you to confess and forsake.
God still Loves you.
